The Steamy Beenie is an innovative product that uses steam and heat to open the hair cuticle and scalp pores to allow conditioning treatments to penetrate. We offer two versions of the Steamy Beenie: Steamy Beenie and the Steamy Beenie Pro. 

The Steamy Beenie is a double-sided unit that provides both hydration and deep/strength conditioning unit. The Steamy Beenie Pro is an hydrating steam treatment unit.

The Steamy Beenie provides salons with the following benefits:

1. Maximum Hydration: The Steamy Beenie increases your hair and scalp’s ability to absorb moisture and conditioning products. Increased moisture and hydration improves your hair’s manageability and texture. 
2. Easy to Use: It’s portable! Because the Steamy Beenie doesn’t require electricity, you can indulge in a luxurious steam treatment anytime, anywhere! All you need is hot water and a plastic cap.
3. Ergonomic Design: Designed with comfort in mind, the Steamy Beenie won’t pull your hair edges. 
4. Machine-Washable: Unlike other portable conditioning caps, the Steamy Beenie does not have flaxseeds or electrical cords. 

The Steamy Beenie is reversible and is used for hydration or strength conditioning treatments. With the Steamy Beenie, you do not need an additional plastic cap.

The Steamy Beenie Pro is only used for hydration treatments. A plastic cap is required for use with the Steamy Beenie Pro. A hooded dryer is optional but will provide longer lasting heat. 

Both are machine-washable and do not need electricity. 

Hydration treatments improve the hair’s ability to absorb and retain moisture, improve manageability, prevent dryness, and reduce frizz.

Deep conditioners have more concentrated emollient and humectant ingredients that are left on the hair longer (20-30 minutes). Deep conditioners are primarily used to strengthen hair to prevent breakage, repair damage, and mend split ends.

Please note whether you own The Steamy Beenie or The Steamy Beenie Pro. The Steamy Beenie is double-sided. One side is made of a waterproof polyurethane (Strength) and the other a cotton (Hydration) material. The Steamy Beenie Pro is made completely of 100% Cotton (terry cloth) material.

STEAMY BEENIE

HYDRATION SIDE

1. Apply the your hydration conditioner to your hair and comb through. 
2. Saturate the Steamy Beenie with mildly hot water. (Make sure the water is not too hot so you don’t burn yourself.) 
3. Wring out the excess water and place the Steamy Beenie comfortably on your head. 
4. Cover the Steamy Beenie with a plastic cap for 10-30 minutes. *Optional: You can sit under a heated hood dryer. 
5. Remove the Steamy Beenie and plastic cap and rinse hair. 
6. Style as usual. 

STRENGTH SIDE 

1. Flip the Steamy Beenie so that the smooth (polyurethane/waterproof) side is on the inside. 
2. Apply your favorite deep conditioner or hair mask treatment to the mid-strand and ends of your hair.
3. Comb through with a wide-tooth comb. 
4. Place the Steamy Beenie comfortably on your head making sure to cover all of your hair. 
5. Sit under a hooded dryer for 15-30 minutes. 

TIP: No hooded dryer? Place a warmed flaxseed or gel pouch in the Steamy Beenie’s zipped compartment.

STEAMY BEENIE PRO

Hydration or Hot Oil conditioning treatment:

1. Apply the Steamy Beenie Conditioning Oil or your favorite Oil or Hydration conditioner to your hair. 
2. Saturate the Steamy Beenie with mildly hot water. (Make sure the water is not too hot so you don’t burn yourself.) 
3. Wring out the excess water and place the Steamy Beenie comfortably on your head. 
4. Cover the Steamy Beenie with a plastic cap for 10-15 minutes. *Optional: You can sit under a heated hood dryer. 
5. Remove the Steamy Beenie and plastic cap and rinse hair. 
6. Style as usual. 

As a pre-shampoo to remove product build up:

1. Saturate the Hydration side of the Steamy Beenie with mildly hot water. (Make sure the water is not too hot so you don’t burn yourself.) 
2. Wring out the excess water and place the Steamy Beenie comfortably on your head. 
3. Cover the Steamy Beenie with a plastic cap for five to 10 minutes. *optional: you can sit under hooded dryer. 
4. Remove the Steamy Beenie and plastic cap. 
5. Shampoo hair using your favorite sulfate-free product.

It is possible to over-condition your hair. Over-conditioning your hair can make it limp, dry, and cause breakage. It is recommended that you follow the product’s instructions and recommendations.
